- LIVE: 3 x 8 hour Days Live Course covering all theory and curriculum
- ONLINE: 3 x 5-6 hour Live Zoom Course covering curriculum with theory section done prior
In Person Practical Exam
Class Presentation
- To be completed within 3 months of attending course
- Assessment dates will be provided. If you cannot attend set dates a fee will be charged for an alternative date and time
Design and teach a 50-60 minute pole class for a level of your choice. You will be marked on:
- Introduction – Welcome & class introduction
- Warmup & conditioning
- Session planning – does the session flow in a structured way
- Includes following submitted lesson plan and / or making appropriate changes
- The teaching of the exercises – demonstration & explanation, cueing & imagery
- Modifications and / or corrections
- Presentation - energy, confidence, engagement, projection & Focus
- Safe teaching practices
You will need to submit your planned session plan prior to the exam. If you divert or change the class for any reason please explain your reasoning and then send a follow up lesson plan outlining the reason for the change. See here for more detail
Testing knowledge and performance of included exercises and grips and anatomical concepts
- To be completed on the final day of the training sessions
Following on from the exam you will be required to perform a range of pole moves to show your knowledge and ability to demonstrate the exercises to an acceptable level, then asked to give progressions or modifications if applicable,
These moves will be chosen by your adjudicator on the day and may be given individually or put together in combinations at their discretion.
You will also be required to give definitions of requested movement definitions & muscle contractions.
A 70% pass rate is required in both the theory and practical examinations. We recommend completing your exam 3-6 months following your attendance at the course.
Online Practical Exam - Must pass a zoom-live practical exam
Class Presentation - as for in person practical exam

It is recommended to have 1-3 participants in the taught class but if this is not possible (eg. due to location or lockdown) the class can be presented to the camera.
Ensure camera can view the instructor clearly and, if possible students also for when corrections are made
Having 2 cameras set up with zoom log in for this with different views would be preferred
Please begin the exam by delivering a brief piece to camera, which should include:
- Class Level being taught & student experience
- Any relevant injuries or issues expressed by the students in their pre-exercise questionnaire;
